Welcome to the 2024 Player Registration with Spencerport Jr Rangers Organization!

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.

Please utilize your SportsEngine login from last year to log in and complete this form for returning players, for new players/families please create a SportsEngine account when prompted.

To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or ACH Bank Account information available.

Our website does charge a payment processing fee (3.5%) on your final total at check out. For example if your registration costs $325 your final cart total will be $336.39 to include that fee

Required items you need available NOW:

Wallet Size Photo of your Child
Copy of Recent Report Card (Must include full name, school name, grade, CURRENT school year)

Required Items that can be turned in at a later date:

Recent Physical (Must be dated 8/1/2023 or later to be valid)

Note: The registration process will take approx 20 minutes to complete so please plan accordingly. The system does not save your progress if you navigate away from the page. Registrations will not show as complete and come through to us until all fields are complete and the item is paid for.

TEAM SPLIT UPDATES

If we split the teams, we may not use the same system as last year so please don't assume such. We work with the RYFC on how to split the teams so if something changes in the off season, we may adjust to account for it. Order of registration does not determine 1st or 2nd team roster slot, other factors such as school, DOB, etc are used to determine roster.

For Football: Team splits will only occur if we will have at least 25 kids on each team (15 on each for C Squad). You will notice when signing up, if the first team is full, you will need to select a "Waiting List" team. We will cap A and B Team football at 28 Athletes before closing it out and opening a waiting list (17 for C Squad and 16 for Flag)

For Cheerleading: If the number of waitlist athletes allows us to field two teams we will consider doing to, if an age level is split we will have one "small" team and one "large" team to ensure they are not put in divisions against each other at competitions.

We do operate on a first in system. If you wait to sign up, you could be on the waiting list and if we don't get enough kids to fill a second team, a decision will be made to refund you, or roster you based on the first come first serve basis from the waiting list

We only manage the waitlist virtually with payment. Please complete this registration process to join the waitlist.

*We are fielding 2 flag football teams this year, but at this time that level is closed and on a waitlist

Squads & Grades

RYFC Football Grades and Weights

FLAG – Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd Grades
- No Weight Limit
C SQUAD – 3rd Grade
- Grade 2 if approved by the SJR President
- No Weight Limit
B SQUAD – 4th & 5th Grade
- Backfield weight limit*: 130
A SQUAD – 6th & 7th Grade
- Backfield weight limit*: 155

*Backfield Weight Limit: Player must be below the weight limits in order to receive a handoff. It is, however, allowable for these players to receive a pass beyond the line of scrimmage.

Important Note: Squad assignments will be provided closer to the season and at this time we cannot accept any requests for placement in order to ensure that there is no perception of "stacking the teams". We anticipate that each coaching staff will work together during practices so the athletes can all have the same learning experience.

RYFC Cheerleading Grades

Flag - Kindergarten & 1st Grades
C - 2nd & 3rd Grades
B - 4th & 5th Grades
A - 6th & 7th Grades

Note: All grades are as of the fall of 2024 school year. If your child(ren) are home schooled, please talk with the Jr Rangers President about eligibility.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

*Anyone going into 7th Grade cannot participate in both Junior Rangers and Modified Football/Cheerleading per our League's policies

*Do not register your child for the incorrect age group if a squad is closed - We will manually refund you and inform you that the registration is invalid if a child is registered for an incorrect team and the correct one is not available
